Hi! Cam here with a handy video on how to install your Fisher and Paykel fridge filter.
To begin you want to identify your water source and turn it into the off position, this will ensure there’s no water coming through to the filter we’re going to change, and make sure that it’s nice and safe.
Now with the water securely turned off, grab the filter cartridge and turn it clockwise until you feel it start to separate. Once it separates, gently pull down and discard the water filter.
Next, remove the filter cartridge from its packaging, and on the top of these particular cartridges they have a safety seal. Just take that and peel it straight off the top, and you can take the cartridge and place it into the filter head. What we’re going to want to do is turn it anti-clockwise until you feel it firmly lock into place. You can make sure again, by just doing a double take.
With the filter cartridge firmly in place, go back to the water source again and turn it into the on position. Monitor the cartridge for about a minute to ensure there are no leaks.
Now move to the front of the fridge and turn on the dispenser and let is run for
approximately three litres this will allow for all the air that is built up in the line to flow through and also dispense any carbon fines from the water filter.
You can now reset your indicator light on your fridge by pushing the alarm mute button and the warmer button simultaneously for four seconds, this will then recycle the indicator light and allow you to have another 6 months before needing a change.
For newer models with the LCD screen, you need to hold the right arrow and lock button simultaneously for four seconds to ensure the indicator light is reset.
